STEPHANIE DUBIN
ARTIST
is an American contemporary artist born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and residing in New York. Stephanie received her BA degree in Social Work with a minor in Psychology, at University of Wisconsin - Madison. Fueled by her creative passions, Stephanie’s love of the artistry of fashion compelled her move from her home in the heartland of America to New York, where she pursued design courses at FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology).
Stephanie took up a paint brush after a career first in fashion and then in health and wellness, all the while raising two sons. The sheer prolificacy of her output enforces her artistic passion as her life's calling. Stephanie draws upon a deep reservoir of inspiration. Her works sing of love, passion, peace and freedom. Stephanie believes that her mix of vibrant color and form provides a transcendental expression in art, communicating a universal sense of spirituality and beauty.
Her acrylic paintings are easily recognized by the prominence of a large red heart encapsulated in a yellow blast of sunshine. Stephanie’s works remind us that the heart is the embodiment of creative life energies. She expresses the fullness of life with simple symbolism in the use of geometric shapes such as circles, stars, spirals, squares and ovals, as well as her use of imaginative butterflies and blossoming flowers in all of her large acrylic compositions. Stephanie’s newest project, personal sized watercolors and mixed media, carries forward her playful hearts and butterflies spiraling in a host of artistically crafted flowers to connect the vibrancy of her compositions. Stephanie has also simultaneously completed several commissions for whimsical paintings of sea animals, butterflies and flowers as decorative art for children’s rooms.
Stephanie paints as she is inspired and also welcomes opportunities for additional commissioned works. Stephanie's works presently feature in private collections throughout the United States. Her bold, colorful, expressive style is powerful. It is the perfect modern complement to any interior design. Stephanie takes great pleasure knowing that her work brings happiness and positive energy to every space in which it is exhibited.
